For years, I've had the idea of doing a pair of customs themed after Finn Balor's demon gimmick. For those of you who've followed wrestling for a long time, Finn Balor (known as Prince Devitt before his WWE days), would occasionally for big wrestling events, don different body paint themes (I even remember a Joker theme he did at Progress Wrestling years ago). When he was signed to WWE, he often did the Demon body paint gimmick in their NXT developmental brand and then on the main roster. Rumor has it that he may be bringing the gimmick back for WrestleMania in a few weeks.
The idea I had to create this theme ended up being put on the shelf for a couple years (I was doing other ideas and kept telling myself I would get around to it), but recently, I was commissioned by one of my repeat customers who requested this theme as she is going to be attending WrestleMania this year so I was pretty excited to finally bring it to life.
The original base shoe is the classic Nike Air Force 1 low:
