Seinfeld is my favorite sitcom of all time, and I have been wanting to do a Seinfeld themed shoe for a while. I came up with an idea for a Seinfeld theme a while back (which I haven't made yet but it's in the works), and then later got the idea for some other Seinfeld related themes that I think I want to bring to life. This one here is fairly simple compared to the other stuff I have planned and will pretty much be the prelude to those other designs that are to come. So, think of it as an upcoming series and this pair is the appetizer before the main course.
I had a pair of used Nike Air Force 1s in my studio that I bought last year to use for experimental purposes but decided to turn them into something instead. That something being a pair themed after Jerry Seinfeld's favorite show nemesis and merry mailman, Newman.
The shoes are a basic red/white/blue color combo inspired by the US Postal Service and features two Newman quotes from the show, those being "Because the mail never stops!" on the left shoe, and "When you control the mail, you control...information!" on the right shoe. It also features a makeshift postal stamp with Newman's face, one of Newman's Chunky candy wrappers, and the Newman portrait on the toe with Jerry's "Hello, Newman" quote.
Again, these are just the prelude/appetizer for what's to come. Stay tuned....
