Saved by the Bell Air Force 1 Mid

Saved by the Bell Air Force 1 Mid

I had this theme planned for over a year but am just recently getting around to doing them.  I had just finished them 2 days before hearing about the passing of Dennis Haskins aka Mr. Belding and was going to hold off on posting them for a while but decided to just go ahead and show them.

Saved by the Bell was one of my favorite sitcoms in the 90s.  Loved the hijinks of Zack, Slater, and Screech, and if you're like me, you probably had a crush on at least one of the ladies from the cast if not all 😆.  It led the whole "TNBC" block in the 90s and inspired all the teen sitcoms that followed in the line up (California Dreams, Hang Time, City Guys, One World, etc.  IYKYK).

(Rare promo pics I found online that had Tori along with Kelly & Jessie.  Interesting to those who know about the whole Tori episodes thing)

Anyways, as for the shoes, I wanted to go with something that captured the SBTB vibe.  If you remember the logo and graphics from the show's intro, it featured a real 80s/early 90s vibe to it, and I wanted to capture that style in the shoes.

The shoes I went with for the custom are the Air Force 1 mid (I specifically wanted something that wasn't low top).

And here is the finished product:

I added the logo and the same style pattern throughout the shoes along with a mix of bright colors.  Another touch I thought would be fun to add is the logo for The Max, which was the restaurant where the gang regularly hung out on the show.

And of course, a direct reference to their school, Bayside High.  In this case, the "Go Bayside!" was the perfect phrase to add to the shoes.

Happy to pay homage to one of my favorite TV shows.  And rest in peace to Dennis Haskins.  Thank you for all the years of laughs on the show and being everyone's favorite principal.

These are not in the store section, but if you are interested in a pair, feel free to send a message through the contact form.
