Although January 1st is the calendar new year, there are some who believe the spring equinox to be the true beginning of the new year, representing a natural, energetic reset. In a way, it makes sense with spring being the season where the weather changes for the better, going from bitter cold temperatures and short days with early sunsets to days with warmer temperatures, longer days with extra sunlight, and the blossoming of flowers and trees.
In the Flashpoint comic book and animated movie storyline, The Flash, who was trapped in a twisted and distorted alternate timeline, used the energies of the speed force at the end of the story to reset the timeline and create a new rebooted universe.
I made these with the idea of combining the energy of the spring equinox with the energy of Flashpoint, both representing a reset and manifesting new energy.
For fun, I made a set of photos depicting The Flash (Barry Allen) running through the speed force to possibly bring about another Flashpoint, when suddenly, his successor and protege, Wally West (who is once again The Flash in the current comics and depicted as being faster than Barry), suddenly taking the reigns in a passing of the torch manner.
